I had a bizarre idea earlier to have a way to use chess as an alarm clock - so that at your alarm time, a mobile app would warn you audibly and send out a seek for a game - and you have to wake up and start playing otherwise you lose. I find chess quite effective at waking me up (although I'm terrible at this time of the day)
If I'm right, I don't think the API allows for controlling games etc. so the only current way would be to reverse-engineer the normal web client. And I'm guessing that lichess devs don't really want people doing that or else everyone will easily create their own bot clients to cheat.
Anyway, that's just a weird idea I had that could make its way into the lichess app or someone could point out if it's possible to create this.
