explain this phenomena

The problem might be that if there are deviations from expected patterns during evaluation these are being sorted out instead of being recognized. Happened so many times to me also.
i think there are different explanations for this.

one is that you are focused so much on the game, that you overlook the obvious, which also happens a lot to chess masters, sometimes maybe even more because they absolutely don't expect this.

long time chess players see and evaluate the position in other ways than a beginner does, e.g. looking for positonal things or giving things a different weight.

on the other hand there is a threat in the postion, or you sometimes just don't take attention. that's why it is important to see a position from different perspectives which you simply can't in a few seconds only
oh wait, that's me. just noticed that.

well, for my part, i was in an incredibly sluggish mood at that point of time. it was (and is) incredibly hot due to the current heat wave in europe and i was very tired at that point in time and i only played some games to not have to go to sleep. that might be a possible reason for me not seeing that blunder.
oh, and of course i wouldn't normally _expect_ a strong opponent to hang his queen ... i only focused on the hanging b4 pawn.
