Best way to prepare chicken?

Have some friends coming over, i usually just BBQ food for them but one asked about serving the food in a different way. We usually do chicken since everyone likes it.

Lots of recipes online but wondering if there is something simple that I could make since I usually just BBQ everything.

Any suggestions?
Chicken with orange is a delicious alternative (like duck with orange but simpler and cheaper): take the juice of one or two bitter oranges, make a kind of spicy sauce by adding a pinch of smoked paprika, coriander and red pepper (this one is sweeter than normal pepper). brush the chicken with acacia honey or forest honey (chestnut, oak) and put the chicken to simmer for 2 hours (depending on the weight of the chicken) in a large saucepan and pour in the juice gradually.
the chicken will soak up the juice and have an unusual but pleasant slightly sweet taste in the mouth.
At the same time, cook orange quarters in the oven for a few minutes at a low temperature (with the skin on so that they don't fall apart) and add to that either apples or tomatoes (one or the other works very well, also good with oranges). if you use tomatoes or tomato sauce, add a sweet pepper with the oranges. be careful not to burn anything and cook at a low temperature otherwise it will make the dish taste horrible.

you can accompany the chicken with dry bread or appetizer biscuits, it’s a delicious contrast!

you can also do a second quick cooking in the oven at 180 degrees, 5 min to brown the chicken, it will be crispier and less orange.
I've made baked chicken breasts brushed with Italian dressing and sprinkled with Italian seasoning which came out quite well

interesting, can you give me the full recipe?
@CSKA_Moscou
Really that's about it. Place in a pan, cover with foil, bake at 325 for about 11/2 hours.
@Mopman asked for something simple and that's the simplest I know.
Btw I do use zesty Italian dressing and plump whole chicken breasts. Italian seasoning has oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil ,Garlic powder can be a good addition to the seasoning also. :)

With Balsamic vinegar or only with olive oil ? I like Italian seasonings. pine nuts and capers are also interesting in sauce or as an appetizer
Tropical hot chicken

Spices:
2 onions (cut small)
4 cloves of garlic (cut fine)
1 Ginger (as big as your thumb) clean take the skin off. Lay the stalk on a flat work surface, then bash along the length of it with the blunt edge of a large, heavy knife. This will release the aromatic oils.
Lemongrass 2 stalks (also Lay the stalk on a flat work surface, then bash along the length of it with the blunt edge of a large, heavy knife. This will release the aromatic oils.)
Powdered black pepper
A pair of fresh oregano leaves, if using dried oregano powder (sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon)
Coconut-milk (1 can)
1 1/2 chicken broth

You need these vegetables:

1 big Kohlrabi (german name: look up google in english). Shell its skin. Cut these in big cubes
1 big chayote (you can buy this vegetable at an asian store) shell the skin and cut in big cubes
4 carrots (clean off the skin and cut small)
Small broccoli (if it's a big broccoli only use half of this). Tear this vegetable apart. Add to the boiling pot, 10 minutes before the dish is done.
1 red bell pepper (cut in cubes)
1 green pepper (also in cubes)
2 green hot peppers (leave it as a whole and add to the dish together with the broccoli) leave to add until last.

Procedure:
First step: Clean the chicken breast fillet (1 kg.)
marinade with powdered black pepper (1 Teaspoon)
1/2 lemon squeeze to the marinade
sprinkle the meat with soysauce
Marinde approx. 20 minutes

Second step:

Fry spices like onions, garlics until the aroma come out.
Add the marinade chicken breast fillet.
Fry until gold brown.
Then add 1 1/2 cup of chicken broth
Simmer and cook 15 minutes
Now add the rest of the spices:
Lemongrass
Ginger
black pepper powder
dried oregano
You can now add the vegetables: kohlrabi, chayote, carrots, red bell pepper
Please take note to add the 1/2 broccoli and 2 green hot peppers as last. Only until the broccoli is soft and is done.
You can finally add the coconut milk (1 can)

You can add more salt and spices as you like it as well as chicken knorr cubes (optional)
Maybe 1 teaspoon white sugar (optional)

Third step: Enjoy cooking. Bon Appetit (:)

Just store bought dressing, Kraft,Wishbone whatever you prefer.
Simplicity is the key.
Heck I'm no chef
Just a poor boy who can cook
Worked as a prep cook for a while
But you know I grew up poor
And poor people can cook
By necessity I guess.
Have you ever tried using an oven bag to cook chicken breasts? You find them in groceries stores.
I've tried it and it was great.
