Insulting behavior by my opponent

@Master05 here. I appreciate @Muleskinner's desire to apologize to me for his/her unsportsmanlike conduct. I acknowledge that games such as the one posted in this forum can be frustrating for the player on the verge of winning the game, only to sacrifice a half-point in the concluding moments. While it wasn't necessary to start a forum post regarding the issue, I should probably shed light on the matter now that it has appeared.

1. @Muleskinner had been playing very well the entire game until a series of inaccuracies allowed me to escape with a draw. He/she had allegedly offered a draw on move 66, but I was making my moves at such speed that I didn't even notice the offer until after the game.

2. At the game's conclusion, I found myself at the receiving end of an unfortunate insult that should have never been emitted in the first place. After all, chess is a gentleman's game and players should ALWAYS ensure that they are treating their opponents with utmost respect regardless of the incoming result.

3. I felt obligated to report @Muleskinner for his/her behavior. The intention behind reporting my opponent was not to make him/her rage, but to give them the realization that repercussions will come forward should they continue to belittle their future opponents.

I hope this response was able to clear things up! Stay safe everyone and remember to endorse optimism in these unprecedented times!
