Blindfold chess

#9 : ´´I'm a similar rating to you, and I couldnt have played anything close to that without seeing the board´´ For to play blindfolded must have a good memory, a player has 1700 points blindfold could play well if he has a good memory. I have no need to lie, every move I made was blindfolded.

the icon for when playing blindfold is a good idea, and I guess that is easy to implement

Knowing that your opponent is blindfolded could lead to strategically creating confusing positions. Then again in real OTB blindfold that can always be done.

I can verify this also works on chrome.
On any lichess page:
1. Open the developer tools (right click on the page > inspect element or just inspect on chrome)

2. The first element in the body is a form to enable blind mode. You have to click on the little arrow to see where the "hidden" tags are. Make it visible by removing the "hidden" tags, and changing the margin-left: -99999px to 0px (in chrome this is in a separate box on the bottom of the screen when you click on one of the blind mode chess lines). I would also recommend changing the height to 1 so you can click on the button which appears top left of the lichess screen.
3. Press "enable"
4. Play chess.

this is another game blindfolded, but this is against level one
Its funny, I had to improve
its funny because I was thinking I was playing a standart game
its the second or third time I played blindfolded and I just thought
it had 8 pawns, and forgot about them I dont know why
since the bishops came out and there was also exchange on d5
and it was alekhine defence I suddenly changed my mind into
some type of petroff defence with the queens on the e file
I just thought there was no e pawn and I was right
but I did not see the mechanics of the game of the initial moves
then they were some mistakes easy to avoid I guess like
rook d8 hanging or rook f7, so its more or less,
I cant see everything I cant see the whole board but more or less I have an idea of whats going on and if I concentrate a little
more its more accurate, but its not easy for me because
I just dont have much experience in general with some
type of positions or almost with all, like pawn structure, too many pieces, its only because in stockfish level one, it lets u trade or it hangs pieces, so u dont even need to pay attention
to all, like I played with huge blunders or even or even I took the queen in the b column but once I have played that move
then I realized I did not have the a pawn and I was like what?
man Ive pushed my a pawn before and its on a3, luckily I have the c2 pawn otherwise I lose my queen,
I like this stuff, its probably difficult but fun, its probably a good exercise because when u play blindfolded or u try to
play blindfolded u really have to think, even if u play bad
moves because otherwise u forget where u put the pieces,
so it forces u to make an effort and pay more attention
at the board and visualize the squares and diagonals and that
type of stuff, but I cant play strategy or standart chess
I just focus of not playing very terrible and have more or less
and idea of whats going on
I believe its a good exercise u can try it if u want.
And it was fun because once I finished the game and I checked the computer analysis, I realized I was playing a game with handicap thats how terrible I am, that I did not notice before
that I had two extra pawns so, funny at least."

So in summary I played a blindfolded game without knowing the initial position but since I had the advantage and also was playing against level one I managed to win
I wanted to play against 8 pawns which I won if I remember correctly in my first blindfolded game but I sense my shortcomings its like it allows me to see that I need to work in my visualization, that I really dont understand the position
that I have some problems to see the whole board and record the moves in my mind, although I played pretty fast, its a skill I need to develop or I would like to play bad but not terrible like have a sense of whats going on
