Chess club(s) in Barcelona

Hello, long story short I am an American now living in Barcelona and was hoping that someone living in the city (or someone that frequents the city) can introduce me to a club to play in so I can meet new people, learn more of the language, and, of course, improve my chess play! If someone could help me out that would be great and I can send you my info so we can meet up!

Thanks!
Catalonia has a long tradition of chess clubs. This summer we've had a circuit of international opens with hundreds of players in each event.

Just search for "Barcelona" here and I'm sure you will find at least (!!!) a couple of chess clubs in your neighbourhood.

@frustratedsigh

I hope to be in Barcelona this winter for some days.
If you have not gone to a chess club by then, we could go together.

... ajedrez ! :)
I'll be in Barcelona this week-end, and until tuesday!
Thibault, I would be there too, but, you must pay me the travel! :D
Hahahaha, anyways, have a good visit in Barcelona!
El Carmel. That was a terrible district not long ago. I hope it got better.

In Gracia, not far from El Carmel, there is one of the historical Catalan clubs: La Unió Graciènca d'Escacs. I can't find a website, but these are their details: http://www.yelp.com.au/biz/uni%C3%B3-gracienca-d-escacs-barcelona-2

I used to play in Sant Martí when I was living in BCN. They organize some friendly tournaments where you play one game every Saturday. This is their website: http://www.cesantmarti.com/
